Potential Service Disruption for Shadow Agent for RingCentral Customers due Amazon Web Services Outage

POTENTIAL SERVICE DISRUPTION RESOLUTION

June 10, 2022, 6:00 am   (updated  9:00 AM ET)

Symptoms:  

Shadow Agent for RingCentral customers presented with a "maintenance mode" notification screen. 

Problem:
Starting June 10, 2022, at approximately 9:52 pm EST, several customers Shadow Agent was stuck in an unplanned "maintenance mode"...

This problem was due to an Amazon Web Services outage.at one of our core data centers creating a knock on effect for some Shadow Agent customers globally..  

Resolution: 

According to Amazon, the AWS outage began at 9:52 pm (UTC-4) and ended at 12:58 pm (UTC-4). After their resolution, RSI engineers then worked to restart and reestablish service availability.
